Percival Family Cemetery


Located on the south side of Gov. Harrison Pkwy (US Route 58), approx. ¼ mi. west of the Lawrenceville Airport. It is on the backside of a farm, in a grove of trees, behind a mobile home park.

Brig. Gen. Peter Burwell Starke	1815 —	1888	28 MISS REGT CSA
There is another stone beside his that reads, “In this cemetery is buried Brigadier General CSA Peter Burwell Starke 1815 - 1888.” Beside his headstone is also an iron cross, the Confederate cross of honor. Starke's second wife, Elizabeth J. Percival, daughter of Hugh L. Percival, is also buried here, CWS f BCV, pp. 524-25.

This stone is broken and some of the pieces are missing. Only one date on stone, which is evidently his date of birth. See CWS f BCV, p. 431.
