Taylor Family Cemetery (Black)

This African-American cemetery is in a wooded area on the South side of Dry Bread Road and approx 0.3 miles, east of the intersection of Dry Bread Road and Claibornetown Road. Although located in the Southeast area of Brunswick County, the postal designation of this section is Emporia, Virginia. This cemetery meausures approx 60 ft x 80 ft and is situated in a wooded area less than 20 ft from the paved highway. At least 23 other graves are here as evidenced by uniform depressions, field stones markers, and several very old and rusty funeral home markers. |
