Walker Family Cemetery (Black)

| This large African-American cemetery with a single marked grave is located in a wooded area on the south side of Forksville Road, (less than 10 ft from the pavement of the roadway), and approx 0.3 mi West of Tanner Town Rd, Brodnax, VA. Although only a small area of the cemetery seems to be maintained, (the area of the one marked grave), it measures approx 100 ft x 80 ft in size and contains at least 40 other graves as evidenced by field stones, uniform depressions, and a remnants of some old metal funeral home markers. Although no Walker markers remain it is historically known as the Walker Cemetery. |
