Wray Family Cemetery - White Plains


Located approx. 100 ft west of Robinson Ferry Rd. (Route 644), approx. 0.75 mi. north of Dry Bread Rd. (Route 611). There are at least 11 other graves marked with fieldstones. This well-maintained cemetery is enclosed by a 50 ft x 50 ft X 3 ft tall chain link fence.

Joseph Preston Wray	27 Jun 1891 —	18 May 1945	World War I Veteran of battles of Hebuterne, Somme, St. Mihiel, Argonne & Verdun, France “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
The inscription above is on a large granite slab that covers the entire grave. There is also a small upright headstone with J. Preston Wray, 1891 - 1945, and a Woodmen of the World emblem on it. See CWS f BCV, p. 630.
