From Tracy Clary December 2007:
This cemetery is not well known at all. I have been to it twice in my life.
There are no marked stones visible, only field stones markers and lots of very clear and uniform depressions. Some of the depressions are as much as 2 and 3 ft deep.
It is densely overgrown with groundcover, very thick layer of periwinkle and leaves. There very possibly could be some engraved stones that have fallen over and been covered by years of foliage.
It was once reported that Pvt. Harvey Massenburg Smith was buried here and had a marked headstone. I will need to assemble a group to go in with me sometime and probe the entire area for possible stones that may be covered.
The cemetery is large, approx. 70 ft x 100 ft, and it has a ditch dug all the way around it approx. 3 ft wide and 2 ft deep. I did not count depressions, but its probably at least 30 to 40 graves there.
